About API State Chapter: The Chhattisgarh State Chapter of Association of Physicians of India also known by its acronym CGAP, came into existence by efforts of Late Prof Dr. SR Gupta (Head Of Department at Pt JNM Medical College, Raipur), Prof Dr. PS Deshpandey (Department of Medicine, Pt JNM Medical College, Raipur), Dr. Alok Rai (Sr. Physician Raipur), Dr. Prabhat Pandey (Sr Physician,Durg), Dr. Kalyan Sengupta (Sr Physician,Raipur) and many more in the Year 2014. Now there are 168 life members in Association of Physicians of India from the state. The CGAP was incorporated with Registrar Societies on 16/07/2019. Physicians Research Forum the newest addition in API for promotion of research has 63 founding members from the state.
